Future Jobs
The Sunrise River Energy Station is expected to
require hundreds of construction workers over a 2-year construction
period and to employ up to 25 permanent, professional staff with an
annual payroll of approximately $3 million.
Construction Opportunities – Sunrise River Energy has committed to
construct the project using union labor and will require its
engineering, procurement and construction contractor to enter into a
project labor agreement with the local building and construction
trades council prior to the start of construction. Local laborers
and trades people are encouraged to check this website for updates
and to check-in with their local trades for updates. As of this
time, we do not anticipate commencement of construction prior to
late 2011.
Plant Operations – The vast majority of operations personnel for a
project such as the Sunrise River Energy Station are hired locally.
Sunrise River Energy will provide contact information for members of
the community to provide resumes and applications for employment
around the commencement of construction.
